Pioneer Wooden Toys was established in 1980 and was based in Paerata just outside of Pukekohe. I bought the business after realising I wasn't happy or content in the corporate world.

Woodworking has been a lifelong passion of mine. I find it therapeutic and it gives me a huge sense of satisfaction and pride.

After my recent battle with Prostate Cancer I have realised that business for good is the only way forward for me, hence my focus on charity awareness and giving back to the community.

Approximately 80% of our sales are made directly to preschools, kindergartens and playcentres. This market can now be served by Bryan Millar ECE Manufacturing Ltd, also known as BMECE Ltd.
